Kids were built to move โ not to sit. Grassroots gets them off screens and into action through games, challenges, and activities that build critical thinking, teamwork, and a love of being active. Fun is the strategy. A healthier life is the result.
Grassroots Sports & Fitness exists because kids deserve more than a screen. We pull them out of the scroll and into environments where they have to think, move, communicate, and compete โ together.
Our programs use games, multi-sport activities, and creative movement challenges to develop the whole child. Every session is designed so that kids are solving problems, making decisions under pressure, talking to teammates, and most importantly โ having so much fun they forget it's exercise.
The habits kids build today become the foundation for a lifetime of health, confidence, and wellbeing. That's what Grassroots is about โ investing in their future now.
Multi-sport play and creative activities that make movement irresistible.
Challenges that require kids to think fast, adapt, and make smart decisions.
Learning to connect, encourage, and work together โ life skills built through sport.
Replacing screen time with movement they'll actually want to keep doing.
Grassroots brings development directly to your organization. No travel needed โ we deliver structured athletic training where kids already feel comfortable.
Our flagship program. Kids rotate through different games, sports, and movement challenges every session โ so it never gets old. Designed to get them hooked on being active and away from screens.

1st Grade โ 8th Grade โฑ 45โ60-minute sessionsGroup activities designed around communication, teamwork, and leadership. Kids learn to encourage each other, solve problems together, and navigate competition โ life skills built through sport.
All Ages โฑ Tailored to group needsFun, structured physical play for our youngest movers โ building motor skills, coordination, and a love of being active before bad habits form. Energy in, confidence out.
Ages 3โ6 (Pre-K โ Kindergarten) โฑ 30โ45-minute sessionsExplosive first-step quickness, lateral movement, coordination, and sport-specific training. Builds the physical foundation every young athlete needs โ whether they play one sport or many.
3rd Grade โ 12th Grade โฑ 30โ45-minute sessionsThis isn't just a philosophy โ it's backed by decades of science. What happens when we get kids moving and away from screens isn't just physical. It changes how they think, how they connect, and who they become.
The American Academy of Pediatrics found that children with more than 2 hours of daily screen time show lower cognitive development scores, reduced attention spans, and higher rates of anxiety and depression than their more active peers.
A landmark NIH study found that children who met physical activity guidelines scored up to 20% better on cognitive tests โ including memory, attention, and problem-solving โ compared to inactive children. Exercise literally builds the brain.
Research from the Journal of Youth and Adolescence shows that children who participate in team sports and group physical activity are 3 times more likely to develop strong communication and leadership skills compared to sedentary peers.
The CDC and WHO both recommend that children ages 6โ17 get at least 60 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity every day. Currently, less than 25% of American children meet that benchmark.
Multiple peer-reviewed studies confirm that physically active children earn higher grades, have better attendance, and demonstrate stronger classroom behavior โ regardless of academic background or socioeconomic status.
Harvard research shows that children who develop active habits before age 12 are significantly more likely to remain physically active into adulthood โ reducing lifetime risk of obesity, heart disease, and depression.
The window to build these habits is right now. Every session at Grassroots is an investment in a healthier, smarter, more confident kid โ for life.

As a mother, I saw a problem I couldn't ignore.
Kids everywhere were disappearing into screens. Not because parents don't care โ they do. They just don't see an alternative that's easy, accessible, and worth the effort. By the time my daughter was old enough to notice, I knew I didn't want that for her. I wanted her active. Connected. Building real confidence, not comparing herself online.
I had spent decades coaching, building skills in athletes who had every advantage. But I realized something crucial: the kids who need movement and community most are the ones who have the least access to it. Kids in daycares, after-school programs, churches, behavioral health centers. Kids whose parents are working hard, doing their best, but can't afford elite programs or fancy facilities.
So I asked myself: What if I could bring quality athletic development and social-emotional growth directly to them? Before the screens take over. Before isolation sets in. Before anxiety becomes the default?
That's when I combined everything I know: My years in clinical behavioral health showed me how movement and structure regulate the nervous system. My coaching taught me how to build skill and confidence. But it was being a parent that taught me what kids actually need: A safe place to move. Adults who believe in them. Peers who accept them. Permission to try without judgment.
Grassroots Sports & Fitness is my answer โ not to find the next elite athlete, but to reach every kid before struggle starts. To help parents (and organizations) keep kids active, connected, and confident. Whether we're in a school, a church, a rec center, or a behavioral health facility, we're doing the same thing: getting kids off screens and into their own strength. That's prevention. That's impact.

Every Grassroots program is built on CASEL-aligned Social-Emotional Learning (SEL). We develop the whole child โ building the roots for confidence, emotional regulation, teamwork, and resilience that power growth for life.
Kids discover what they're capable of through structured challenges and celebration of effort. Growth mindset replaces "I can't" with "I'm learning."
Physical activity is nature's anxiety reliever. Coach Tucker uses structured play and breathing techniques to help kids manage stress, anxiety, and big emotions in real time.
Loneliness and disconnection are silent killers of childhood. Grassroots builds peer relationships, teamwork, and a sense of belonging that kids carry into every area of life.
Kids learn to embrace failure as feedback, not rejection. Every missed shot becomes a lesson. Every challenge becomes proof they can handle hard things.
Screens fragment attention. Grassroots demands presence โ problem-solving, strategy, and split-second decisions that rebuild the brain's capacity for deep focus.
True leaders lift others up. Kids learn to encourage teammates, celebrate wins together, and understand that their actions affect the people around them.
Every session teaches a skill that matters for life. Movement builds bodies. Structure builds brains. Community builds resilience. That's the Grassroots difference.
No guessing, no surprises. Here's a clear picture of what your organization will experience with Grassroots โ from the first session to the lasting impact.
No tryouts, no prior experience required. Kids arrive, get moving immediately, and are welcomed into a group where everyone belongs. The energy is high from minute one.
Sessions rotate through different activities โ multi-sport games, movement challenges, team competitions, and drills. No two sessions feel the same, so kids stay excited and engaged.
Every activity is designed to make kids use their brains, not just their bodies. They solve problems on the fly, lead teammates, and make decisions under pressure โ building skills that last beyond the session.
Over time, parents notice the difference โ not just physically, but in how their child carries themselves. More confident, more social, more willing to put down the phone and get moving. That's what we're really building.
